    I'd normally just have her go barefoot rather than have her lift in those things, but the gym manager was lurking around, and he doesn't appreciate anyone barefooting it.

    What sort of diet recommendations are you giving? Protein intake should be what?

    The standard 1g per pound of body mass. The broad picture painted by the literature (according to those whose job it is to know and understand these things) is that the average lifter shouldn't need anymore than that. Of course, you have your outliers who may need more, but that should be decided upon a case by case basis, I think.
