I just finished reading the chapter on the press, and I am trying to get my form down. This is my 5th attempt at the press. I would appreciate any advice/criticisms that you can offer.

Looks like you read the chapter well.

Can you post a video with more weight, i.e. a work set? You can fluff around with a bar for weeks trying to get 'perfect' form on every lift. It looks like you are able to press safely, so load up the bar and see if your form holds for the heavier weights. This is when the real learning process begins.

It's a great start. As Chode says, use more weight.

Clench your quads to keep your knees very straight, and start the movement with a forward pop of the hips. This should precede the drive up by a fraction of a second.

Thank you, Chode and spar. I will definitely add some more weight next time and post a video soon.

I just got the timing down on this yesterday after getting 3rd Ed last week. Makes a hell of a difference. Seems to have completely removed my old sticking point around forehead height. Highly recommend focusing on this.
