    Does anyone find this cue useful to keep the knees out during the squat? It seems like it would emphasize abduction, instead of the external rotation described in SSBBT3 pages 48-49.

    When your feet are attached to the floor, attempting the abduct the thighs will cause external rotation. I think thats the idea, but I am not keen on the cue either. I feel it may encourage some people to let their knees cave in.

    I've found it to be a helpful cue for the deadlift, but not the squat.

    What about just trying to feel tension in the adductors? Think of 'stretching' them maybe.

    I think its an awful cue that comes from geared PL where guys squat with their feet 3' apart.

    I much prefer "knees out" or thinking about externally rotating my femurs.

    For my money, I still think "show me your dick" is the best squat cue.
