I only watched the second video (110lbx5).

Are you trying to do the olympic press or a strict press?

If you're trying to do the press from THE BOOK, you need to use your hips. "Hips forward" then as the hips come back "press".
Try not to layback after you start the press.

Other than that, it looks good. Why do you have wrist wraps?

Watch you don't keep locking it out too far behind you.

    What's wrong with wrist wraps?
They're unnecessary in most cases. I mean, I wouldn't say "throw them out" if you already have them, but they are indicative of other problems like not having the correct grip.

I am trying to do the press from SS.

Looking back through the book, and at some Rip videos on youtube, I see what you mean about the lack of hips. I got off track somehow. I'll work on fixing that tomorrow.

Re. wrist wraps: I occasionally get shooting soreness in my wrists, just shy of the hand, on the inside below the thenar eminence. I'm using (based on my understanding) the grip outlined in the book (p. 83, Learning to Press). Currently only my left wrist is acting up, and it's been getting better over the past month. The right wrap is on loose... I guess I just put it on for symmetry/warmth.

    Thanks for your feedback.

I agree that correct grip is important but, with respect, I don't agree with the statement about them being unnecessary in most cases. Shit happens during worksets that you just can't help sometimes, and I'd rather the lifter be able to focus on the press rather than messing around trying to correct the grip mid-set if they get out of position at some point during the rep. Does that make sense?

Yeah. I think that's fair. I'm not going to go out and buy some wrist wraps, but I see where you're coming from.
