    Default Squat form check

60 year old fat man. 5' 10" (mostly), 220 pounds, squatting 265 on my way back up after having to take time off training while supporting the Marines for work. I'm reposting after dropping my work set total because I tried to post before and got no response, so I assume that I was ridiculously above parallel. These feel as if I'm A2G, but that just might be my newfound inflexibility. I'm wearing my brand-new Starting Strength belt to break it in, not because I feel that I really need the help to get these done.

I would take a slightly wider stance. Main thing is you are descending too fast. Initiate each rep more slowly and don't crash in the bottom. You have a tendency to not lean over right away and for the knees to shoot forward before the lean at the hips.

Thanks. I'm trying to think hard about getting below parallel. Probably going quick down to try and force my fat belly between my thighs. I'll widen my stance and check back in in a little while.
