Default Squat form check before restarting NLP

    Good afternoon,

I am a 29 year old male, 6ft, 192 pounds. I am restarting my NLP for squats and deads after taking time off from both due to chronic low back tightness, which resulted in a diagnosis of a grade 1 spondylolisthesis after being x-rayed. I am not sure if my spondy was causing my low back tightness or if my form is incorrect and I am too skinny.

This is my first time low bar squatting in a couple months. I worked up to a top set of 5@185 pounds today.

Think about your speed and your timing. Your hips are going back before your knees are bending. You want them both to break at the same time. You are also descending rather fast, but that could just be because the weight is light. Think about getting your knees bending sooner

Your grip needs to be tighter: your elbows should be pointed at your tailbone, and the bar should be resting in the heels of your hands in line with your forearm.
