I've been on the board for a while, I'm an aspiring SSC, and knowing Starting Strength was one of the best things to ever happen to me. It is hard to put into words the importance of this approach for so many types of people.
Today I squatted 375lbs for five reps and deadlifted 405lbs for five reps
Hopefully I have a long way to go since I'm still pretty young, but for someone growing up with arthritis who never really had much success in the physical world, this is an incredible achievement after 3 somewhat consistent years of training.
Thank you Rip, and everyone involved in making Starting Strength better and better over the years, in helping boys like me slowly become men.
