Hey all, I've scoped out some food suggestions for those of you coming to Denver. Also, Skip and Jodi have always done an excellent job at steering us towards tasty, local food.

There is a large grocery store on the corner of Colorado Blvd. and Leetsdale Dr with an all important Starbucks attached to it. There are many good chains and some great local bbq that is filling AND quick for lunch.

On Friday, Skip is going to give us the name of a magic breakfast house that has cinnamon rolls that make you weep. There is also a Perkins and Denny's nearby.

So in conclusion, don't sweat the food. It's close, it's good, and it's inexpensive enough to save enough pennies for you to buy your coaching staff beer Saturday night.

Looking forward to seeing yall Friday!

Yes, there may be a hundred restaurants on Leetsdale between the seminar site and Colorado Blvd--and that doesn't count Colorado Blvd.

A couple of personal recommendations: if you have a taste for Mexican food, there's a place called Tortas on the north side of Leetsdale, just before you get to Colorado Blvd (you are traveling west). Huge, tasty sandwiches loaded with fresh ingredients.

If you have a taste for Thai food and are not in a big hurry: Erewan Cafe (not Thai Swing) on 8th Ave at the corner of 8th and Colorado Blvd (next to a Starbucks). The owner cooks everything himself and it is very good.

    Post Scripts...

Dozens on Havana is the place to be for breakfast. It's right off Parker and within minutes to the gym. Open at 6:30 every day. I look forward to going back already.

Going East from the gym on Parker is tricky but it's where the goods are. Chipotle, 5 Guys burgers, and most important-Starbucks. Much more but that's where we hung out for lunch.

Sam Taylor's BBQ was the hit of the weekend which is just West on Parker which turns into Leetsdale all the way down to Cherry Creek (South). The meat was good but overshadowed by the Collard Greens and Mac'N'Cheese. Sunday's lunch goes down as one of the best!

So if we're fortunate to see you again next fall, keep all this in mind. We don't need to wonder where the good eats are in Denver near Front Range.

Thanks for the recommendations, jep. Will definitely have to make a stop at Sam Taylor's.
