Thanks Tom. I'm pretty happy with it recently (except today... more to come).

    - sweet gear
Sure is. Now I just have to ship it across the ocean to find a place to set it up.

    True statement.

    - all this talk about cereal and half a thousand carbohydrates a day is making me want to get stronger just so I can eat like that
I thought that's what you were doing already. Just listen to your kid. "Nice!"

    - oh, and nice work.
    Mine's nice too? Aw shucks.

    Wednesday, 1 June

Cable Row: 42.5x7 min, 113 reps
Ab Wheel: 7 min, 41 reps
    Bike: 40 min, 9.8 mi[/QUOTE]

Bike was rough today, maybe due to not taking any caffeine beforehand. Usually I have to dial it down to stay in the 120-130 BPM range. Today it was tough staying above 110.

    Thursday, 2 June

    Deadlift: 495x1@7, 545x1@8, 585x1*@9, 445x3x3@8
    Pin Bench: 315x1@7, 335x1@8.5, 305x4x2@9
    Barbell Row: 225x6@6, 245x6@7.5, 255x6@8.5, 225x6x2@8

*I had the hardest time convincing my body to just pull the dang thing. Maybe because, even with chalk and a mixed grip, these bars are dang hard to hold on to (practically no knurling). Whatever the reason, I had to take three attempts at this. I didn't fail the first two, I just couldn't get myself to even pull them more than a couple inches. Once it started, it was hard but doable (so to speak?). Had some rounding, but not full on scared-cat mode.

At least my back felt pretty good for once.

For rows, I noticed I was using too much momentum to start it, so I dropped the weights a bit and did them a bit stricter.

    Sunday, 5 June

    Squat: 465x1@7, 500x1@8.5, 520x1@9, 445x3x2@8, 405x3@7
    Bench: 340x1@8, 360x0@10.5, 305x3x3@8
    1" Deficit Deadlift w/Green Mini Bands 405x1@8.5, 315x4x2@9

Dang. I don't know why I failed 360 on bench. I was having some issues getting my breathing right, but even so, I was surprised. 340 went up so well I though I could have managed somewhere around 375.

Ah well. Everything but that one rep went pretty well. I haven't been doing much work in the RPE 9-10 range, so 500+ feels heavy on my back, but the strength is there. I didn't have much of a sticking point even at 520. I did pinch my right hand when I put it back though. Thankfully I didn't fully set it down before I realized, and my skin is still attached.

I haven't updated this log because I've been traveling, but we're at the meet now. Weighed in at 114.6 kg. I'm in the last flight so it will be a while before I lift.

Thanks. Done now, 672.5 @ 114.6. Missed all 3 of my third attempts, got 3 whites on all my other lifts. More later.
