    -not much to report, still some slight DOMS from mondays volume session so i wasnt real crisp but everything went fine.

    smooth. you can see how i mistep to rack it at the end, i was thinking about going for 5. i bet i could get it but im trying not to blow an o-ring before my meet

    Bench Press
    330 x 3 x 2
    also went easy. not sure about 5 though. bench hits a wall quick and i havent tested my safeties height in a while (yikes prob should do that)

    480 x 1 x 3

    i dont think a triple at 480 would have gone today, so i just did 3 singles which is better for pulls anyway bc the first pull from the gorund is always a little different and harder for me than the reps that follow. almost like since there is no stretch reflex, the first rep is sort of the rep that primes the nuero and gets the body ready for the remaining reps. so its good to practice singles, but then i threw the drop set in there bc i felt like i needed some more work. meet isnt for a month so i have some slack there.

    - i wish my DL was stronger. ive always thought my squats were pretty close to my pulls, and i bet i could squat 480x1 right now.
    - had a consult with Delgadillo about form, tapering for my meet, and post meet plans. hes obvioulsy smarter than me at this and i prob should have just done exxactly what he said, but i think im gonna try this taper on my own. he did give me great advice on progressing once TM stops working, and i will do as he says there.

    Volume Day - Taper


    Squat
    400 x 4 x 4
    weird not doing 5's and a lot easier. every rep was pretty fast and smooth. actually pretty easy.

    Bench Press
    305 x 4 x 4
    again, so much easier than doing 5x5. no problem with any of the 16 reps.




    notes
    -starting taper. hopefully not too early. i figure since im only tapering volume not load, i shouldnt lose any strength, just maybe some work capacity for 5x5 that i will have to get back after the meet. better this way than to overshoot and feel run down before platform.
    -Landman on amazon is a decent show. i like this Taylor Sheridan producer....
    -gonna shovel down some fish and rice now and maybe a cinamon roll for some desert

    really not bad, probably could have tripled. went extra deep for the 2nd and 3rd singles.

    Bench Press
    335 x 1 x 3
    man i smoked these. felt like i could have hit it for 5.

    DL
    485 x 1
    435 x 3
    also smoked that top single man. how was it so much easier than last weeks 480??? could be that i only hit 3 squat singles before hand instead of two triples. thats half the squatting. could also be that i loosened the belt a notch and lifted it up a few inches up the torso, which actually assisted in contracting the gay core muscles better. tighter is not always better with belts....

    -well, im hoping i get this taper right. im still a few weeks out, and im feeling really strong right now, which isnt a good sign. i need to feel like this like the week of the meet.
    -dealing with a disgruntled employee right now. wow i hate managing people. i want to quit and just drive a truck by myself all day.

    Been lurking for a while now.

    De-Lurking to say that that Bench looked like a rocket.

    Oh, and less is better as you end your taper. You won't like it, but it works ...
