Hi Andy,
I've been cycling my intensity days like I've seen you recommend in the past, so I thought i'd let you know how I'm doing.
1x5
2x3
5x1
1x1
Etc.
It looks like I finally hit a wall on squat. (getting close on the other lifts)
1x5 went from 360-395x4 with 3x5 for volume
2x3 went from 395-425 with 3x5 for volume
5x1 went from 430-440 with 2x5 for volume
Got the flu and took a week off, then started taking creatine for the first time in my life
1x1 went from 445-460 with 1x5 for volume (failed 460 once, tried following week and got it, then failed 465 the following week)
Bodyweight went from about 230-240 during this time, this was over the course of about 5 months.
So going back to 1x5, do you think I should start back with 395 with 3x5 volume? Or reset to a bit before that?

P.S. Bench went from 230x5 to 267.5x1, 270 I failed, my bench always sucked (2.5 increments)
Press is going pretty well, went from 180x5, up to 215x1 and still going strong (2.5 increments)
Deadlift is up to 450x3, still going.

Don't reset unless you are forced to. After a layoff you just have to do what your body dictates.
