    Default Not a Crossfitter’s Training Log

    This is my attempt at keeping a training log, like the title says, i’m not trying to be a crossfitter, I like the programming style but there’s some aspects of the sport/training that I won’t be leveraging:
    1. I don’t use a timer to measure progress
    2. I try to maximize weight on the bar
    3. No gymnastics
    4. No jumping rope

    I take the crossfit WODs and tweak them to fit my needs and goals which are relatively simple:
    1. Stay healthy and injury free
    2. Increase deadlift max
    3. Improve general fitness

    This is a fairly recent experiment of mine, let’s see how it goes…

    225-lb deadlift, 12 reps
    155-lb hang power clean, 9 reps
    55-lb db push press, 6 reps

    In honor of U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feb. 20, 2009, while he was supporting operations in OEF and his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device.

    55-lb db bench press x20
    20” box jumps x15
    225-lb deadlifts x12
    chin-ups x6

    Was shooting for 3 rounds but i ran out of gas on round 3 and only did:
    55-lb db bench press x20
    20” box jumps x10

    The heat and the box jumps got me good.
