Welcome to the TM gain train! Solid starting numbers for your VD at 38.
Hello yall, I've been "exercising" for several years and only made real gains since I followed starting strength. I never realized how important squats and deadlifts are and glad I bought SS and Practical Programming and changed the way I lift.
Anyway, I'm on my 7th week of TM and figured I'd start posting my log.

Sorry for the poor quality... First time posting a movie, time for me to learn.
Excuse my 9 year old. I interrupted his minecraft game to help me shoot the video
7/8/15 Wednesday
Front Squat 250x5x2
Bench 260x5x3
Snatch 140x3x2
Back Extenstion 5x10
Chin-ups 10x10x8
Damn it was hot and humid late in the evening! Wasn't hard getting warmed up for sure. Had to constantly dry my hands.
Everything felt light and easy except the chin-ups.
Do you train outside?
Yes I do. Its a covered patio area. Outdoor view is mentally relaxing sometimes to me (when the grass is cut and kids crap is picked up), just no ass to look at on a leg curl machine.
7/10/15 Friday
normal warm-up
Squats 390x5x1 PR
Press 225x0 missed rep
Deadlift 455x5x1 PR
Squats and deads felt Ok. Knees a little sore, probably from rocking forward on a rep or two of squats. Did not use straps, but my last rep on deads I barely hung on to.
Failed my 1rm press. Got it up halfway with no hip drive. I am pretty sure I could get it if my technique was better. It felt heavy and I was stiff as a board.
