My left eye, my optician told me, had the same retinal degeneration but it healed by itself, my right retina seems to be different in its own nature. I'll take it easy for a while, not quitting the gym, untill I'll feel sure that anything is going to happen. Thanks a lot again for your words.

Of course, you are welcome! Thats we all do here.

Caveat: I am a physicist, not a physician.

One) Retinal/Macular degeneration DOES NOT heal itself. It can and should be managed to prevent loss of vision. It is very serious. Two) Opticians vs. optometrist vs opthomologist vs a retinal/macular specialist. An optician fits glasses prescribed by a Doctor.

There may be a regional or language difference but an optician shouldn't be diagnosing anything medical.

    Hi Barry,
I'm italian so pardon me for my english. As a matter of fact the doc is an ophthalmologist. In 2007 I was visited by another italian ophthalmologist in Paris and he first diagnosed this degeneration. He said, if I remember well, that both eyes had this problem but the left eye had somehow adjusted it (I said healed 'cause to me it's the same)..maybe I remember the wrong words but the meaning was that the problem would have been in the right eye someday in the future. Right now I don't seem to have any problem other than the fact that this is the kinda thing that reminds me I'm aging. So I hit the gym today and benching will surely help. Thanks a lot.

Every day, a little older, a little stronger, a little smarter!

My brother just moved to Italy (Florence). His daughter lives there as well. Her (other) uncle is Eugenio Finardi, if you've ever heard of him. Anyway, I will have to visit one of these years!

I do know Eugenio Finardi! I liked his songs a lot, I haven't heard anything from him lately but here is a well known singer. He only wrote one song in his mother language .."Hostages" which I liked it a lot. Florence is an incredible town, beautiful and lately many artists come in Tuscany. I live near in another region that isMarche. So your brother works here? How's the story? How his daughter moved here? Excuse my curiosity!!

My niece went to college in Italy to study music. She met a nice boy, blah blah.

My brother, who is retired, moved to be closer to his daughter and his grandson. My brother’s wife, is Eugenio’s sister. Their father (Italian) was an acoustic engineer but mostly lived and worked in the US. Their mother (American) was an opera singer and music teacher.

How they say, the world is small..How come he doesn't sing anymore? I don't know if he is in Italy or not these days. Anyway thanks. I was looking to your log lately and wow. Great lifts. I'll follow it.
Hi Barry, have a nice day (or night).
