Do you guys have an opinion on what is the best type of plate-loaded leg press machine for obese individuals to start increasing strength on so they can prepare themselves to begin squatting?

There is the type with the pivoting weight carriage or the linear bar path carriage that looks like the typical sled. Was just wondering biomechanically if you preferred one over the other.

Surely you're not going to buy a leg press machine to use for a month. Have you tried squatting?

Most fat people can squat day one with at least an empty bar (especially men). Super obese people need to worry about becoming not super obese before anything else.

No . . .for training others. Not for myself. For a future gym owner, for getting the obese started, which leg press do you prefer?

    I prefer a 45-degree hip sled.
