I warmed up for my squats as usual today and everything felt fine but when I went into my first work set I had what started out as a warm discomfort feeling about 4 inches southwest of my belly button. I finished the set and then when I tried my next set it went from discomfort to mild pain and increased with each rep so I stopped at 3. Is there something to worry about there or am I being a hypochondriac with visions of my intestines spewing forth from my abdomen? I’d prefer that not to happen.

It’s on my right side. If you drew a line from the belly button to the top point on my pelvis it’s about two inches from the top point of the pelvis.
Get checked for an inguinal hernia.
