I use LEDs in my home. There are colors of light available other than soul-crushing "white" and blinding "blue".
Right. There are a range of “color temps”. 2500K is pretty warm. Search “LED color temperatures”

Wow. And he's calling you a racist piece of shit. Breaks my heart. Nobody should be using that word.

In all fairness, you do look like that guy though...

Have you ever been tested for the flu?
Not in recent memory, but probably when I was a kid.

Have you had a PCR test for anything other than C19?
I don’t know, I really don’t get tested for that kind of stuff with any regularity, maybe two or three times in my forty-four years.

Have you ever heard of anybody who has?
I don’t know, it’s not really the kind of thing that comes up in conversation.

Why isn't there a PCR test for the flu with a 45cT?
How do you know there isn’t?

The day the North Pole came to Texas. Well when it is too hot it is "Climate Change" previously global warming, if it is too cold it is "Climate Change" anything but the fact that climate does change anyhow, over here a very mild summer for our region, should be in the high 30's C to mid 40's, but in fact mostly in the 28C range, so no joy for the warming folk(s).
I have lived with climate change since I was born, from drought, to floods, freezing cold, burning heat and that was back in the 1950's.

Good article, It will be interesting how John Kerry spins this out, in the meantime Australia is rushing down the same path, but will they listen, No! The more essential electricity becomes the more unreliable it has become. Stupid is just not sufficient to describe it. ERCOT needs to remove "Reliable" from their title.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22 [KJVPCE])

    2. Perhaps most important and something I find nobody seems to realize anymore is to close your crawlspace vents in the winter once temps go below freezing at night.
    3. Third best simple solution is to open the under-sink cabinet doors where exposed pipes pass through, especially for sinks on exterior walls.
    4. If possible, provide some heat to elevate ambient room temp where exposed pipes are located to above freezing (my water heater is in my unheated garage gym so I had to keep a space heater running for it).

    5. A bit more in-depth and I'm considering doing myself is to buy and install foam insulation to all my pipes under the house this summer.

I know a little on this as I work for my city Utility Dept (soon to move to Liberty Utilities) maintaining all 1" and 5/8" water meters, and billing. I along with the entire Water/Sewer department spent the last two weeks doing almost nothing but running around town in the snow, ice and sub-zero temps turning off peoples' water for burst pipes. In most of these cases, the freezes and ruptures could've been avoided if the above common precautions would've been followed.

Thanks for this list, now I know who I'll be boycotting.
I missed step 2, but in retrospect that seems like a very good idea.

Having a gas pilot-lit water heater inside the house was a big factor and also a gas stove. Running the gas stove for a bit undoubtedly kept the kitchen sink going when water pressure got low. I had actually lost cold water on the kitchen sink after returning from a trip sunday, but got it going again with the cabinets open and the stove.

    Denmark: 1.6%

And regardless, going off worldin.news seems questionable at best--the article doesn't even properly cite the source of the data (merely stating from whom/which organizations the data came from is clearly insufficient) and it reads as if written for a high school English class.

And drawing the conclusion that "mask mandates are ineffective" based on the assumption "a country without mask mandates had lower excess mortality than countries with mask mandates" is logical nonsense.

Everyone on this forum seems to have such incredibly low standards by which they judge something to be true. Truth is an elusive/nebulous thing and even in the best cases it takes quite a lot of diligence and scrutiny to find. Just because something is aligned with your fucked-up world view doesn't make it true--and investing emotion/politics into what you deem (or want to be) true is just folly.

    Isn't this a good thing?
    Here's some context for you

Crude Death rate for 2020 per 1,000 population (Source - knoema)

    Norway: 7.9
    Sweden: 9.1
    Denmark: 9.9

    Also

    Finland: 9.9

Latest SARS COV-2 data on Sweden (Source - FOHM Covid-19)

    Total "cases" - 647,470*
    Total Deaths - 12,793**

*Number of "cases" under 60 years of age - 531,803
**Number of deaths under 60 years of age - 418

Thus a "case" fatality rate of 0.07% for people under 60. The Infection fatality rate will be even lower for this demographic, bearing in mind many early infections or asymptotic cases were missed last year.

    Coach,

Despite his despicable language and completely bogus opinion of you, you must admit that he may have found your brother-from-another-mother.
