I don't know, these new appointment announcements have surprised even me in the best way imaginable. If the last four years have taught us anything, the executive branch can get away with virtually anything until the courts stop it, and while that may happen the stark difference is so far everything President Trump has proposed is actually law -- federal or Constitutional.

This "nothing left to lose" cabinet will have an unprecedented fight on their hands, but man am I excited to see it...

Seems like every Western country, NZ included, isn't actually democracy. Just 2 shit choices every time.

The cult of personality around Trump is a very weird thing for an outside observer. Going bankrupt should like a, last resort, morally challenging thing to do. Knowing you've made promises you can't keep & taken on debt you can't pay back but have no other choices left.

As usual, the issue is not in the result, but it the way it's presented. It can be distorted both ways, that's true. I feel though that distortions in one direction are put under more of a spotlight than those in the opposite one, sometime by the same agent/outlet.

Wal, people who do fraudulent things are crooks. These researchers did a fraudulent thing, and are therefore crooks. And you did have covid, it was just so mild you didn't know. If you are older, you are in the only cohort that the vaccines might have helped in reducing symptomatic infection, if you took the vax. If not...covid is mild for many. And SARS1 infection did provide partial immunity, given Australia's proximity to Asia, that could also explain lack of symptomatic infection. But I assure you, at this point nearly every human over ~2 years old on the plant has had covid-19.


In other news, lets be foolishly optimistic about some of DJT's appointments.

Brad not all researchers are frauds. However I never got COVID because I tested myself with various COVID testers and they were all negative, if I did get COVID then comparing it with the flu the flu was far worse. As far as vaccines go in general say from the Polio Sabin vaccine which I was given way back in the 60's to vaccines that are given to livestock over here now would you say that fraud is also involved say in any vaccine that is produced or is this applicable to COVID vaccines only?

BTW I was using a product back in the COVID days called "First Defence" (Vicks First Defence | Vicks Australia) which perhaps worked in preventing COVID I also used a iodine mouth wash when I got a sore throat, so maybe that helped.

You don't want to police the entire world, or the star-system, but if you won't - someone else will. And they currently work in a call-centre. It's unfortunate.

I've thought about this quite a bit since that portion of the conversation. Mostly because I find myself having to agree and being mad about it. I want to agree with AC. Hell, some parts of his comments sound exactly like what I'd say. I just don't think we work that way as a species. At least not yet. No one has ever really left anyone alone. People aren't wolves. We don't have the common sense of an animal, on the whole. We'll definitely pick unnecessary fights. Empires end. So what? Everything does. The idea is to hand the next generations a secure and prosperous plot of land. Watching events unfold, I don't think my "live and let live" instinct works domestically or internationally. I think good Americans like many of us on this board naturally have that instinct, it's hard to admit it may be what got us here, including the loss of control over the meta-political narrative.

Discover another Anthony Fauci to stealthily send American cash to a leaky Chinese virology lab run by the People’s Liberation Army?

Draft another Lois Lerner to politicize the IRS to deny left-wing groups nonprofit status?

Rehire James Comey to get the FBI and social media together to censor the news?
