    Dear Coaches,

Regrettably work was in the way for couple of weeks, but now I'm on vacation and managed to capture check videos. Please criticise my form.

    Squat:

I had to leave my common gym for this one, felt like I have no pointers for movement (hate mirrors). Knees sliding forward on the bottom, I hope wl shoes will fix this a bit (hope they arrive soon).

    Deadlift:

As mentioned in the former closed thread, I captured another vid of deadlift with increased weight. Oddly enough, I still cannot get over 120 kg, even though I eat like a beast :/

Squats look pretty decent, shove your knees out, knees won't slide forward that little bit. Keep working hard to do that. When you hit the bottom, if'n your tight and your knees are right, you'll have a better bounce and subsequent drive.

Deadlift: Lose the straps, if the weight is light enough that your walking around with it at the top, it probably shouldn't take more than a minute to do a set of 5. 20 seconds strikes me as a reasonable arbitrary number of seconds. Other than that, I don't see anything particularly wrong, except that you likely need more weight on the bar.

    Thanks Mac,

I hope my shoes arrive soon, as I squat in socks and sometimes my feet start to slip apart therefore I'm afraid to shove my knees out further, will give it a try next session.
For the deadlift, I think my arms are pretty weak, like cannot hold the bar firmly above 100 kg. I've tried to add weight, but unable to start the pull, first I had the impression that my back or quads are weak but could it be a grip issue? Is there any useful assistance for that?

Stop using straps? 100Kg is not so much that you can't hold on to it. Assuming you don't have midget hands.

I'd be curious whether you use chalk, and when you started using straps

Moderator ate my comment, so I never used chalk, regrettably my gym doesn't like it and still struggle to find liquid chalk. I've started to use straps around 110 kg when realised my grip isn't enough to hold through 1x5 deadlifts.
