As always in the comment section, some genius is arguing that old people should only do bodyweight squats because the bar will damage their fragile spines and that the squat is a leg exercise for younger men.

This guy must have some good common sense; he did research prior to lifting and asked "So, do squats strengthen your core?" based on a short discussion of spinal stability. That man has some good thinkings going on in his brain.
