    Hi friends,

Never properly had my bench form checked. I'm trying to do everything Rip says, forearms vertical at bottom, touching chest, arching back (though you can't tell so well). But the bar path still feels a little funky to me. I just want to go straight up and down but I know I'm not supposed to. How does it look?

This is at 130 which is about my 5RM at the moment. I'll put my stats below.

    5'11
    156
Doing SS novice for about 1.5 months

    DL 210
    Bp 130
    Pr 93
    Sq 185

Also - sorry if off topic - but how's my weight gain looking, normal? I started at 150 and have been gaining about 1 lb a week pretty consistently. I consider that great since I've NEVER been able to put any weight on before. Eating until discomfort most days.

    thanks!

It kind of looks like the bar might be touching a little bit to low on your chest? I wanna say rip says elbows should be at 70 degrees from your side, someone correct me if I am wrong, and yours are looking like less. The video angle doesn't really allow anyone to tell where your touching your chest at though. Doesn't look to bad, Just make sure to hold your arch and keep everything tight. Return the bar to the same point on the ceiling and lower it to the same point on your chest and your bar path will be consistent.

1lb a week is good keep at it
