    Hi all!
I'm not a frequent poster (second time) but I'm following you guys.
I just had to drop in to tell you that I just celebrated my 51st birthday with joining the 1000-pound club.
I know this isn't a big deal among the really strong but for me it's huge.
I've been lifting for 16 months, five months of SSLP, then a few months of TM and lately I've been running 531.
Of course I'm impressed by my own newfound consistency and ambition, but mostly I'm grateful for finding SS and the no bullshit approach to lifting. I've been wasting 25 years in the gym with no results.
Now I feel younger, stronger and healthier than ever before.
Thanks guys and gals for beeing a helpful part of the community.
Now, onward, upward on the road to 1100!

    Grats to you, Northswede!!

I've been doing SSLP about 4 months now (with some hiccups, but progressing), and hope to make the 600-pound club sometime in the next month. Hearing stories like yours is motivating.

Keep up the good work, and happy birthday

Congratulations. I'm only 69 and may never reach 1000 (but I may in a couple of years). But your example is inspiring.

    Thanks!
All I can say is that if I can do it anyone (almost) can. I'm not athletically gifted in any way, tall and thin. But I understood the part about keep adding a little weight to the bar (and the body), a piece of information my training had been lacking.
And I suppose the slight obsession is also some sort of midlife crisis. But hey, better SS than an expensive mistress and divorce, huh?

    Stort grattis och bra jobbat!

You should start a log so we can follow you on your road to 1100 lbs and beyond! It can seem daunting at first - "having" to update it after every session. But it becomes a place where you share ups and downs and get amazing support from people dropping in to cheer you on and give you helpful tips.
