I don't see a loop. I just see a potentially strong guy that needs to learn to pull from the floor.
Hey Coach,
Its been a long time, but I'm back w/ a question. I have been trying to fix two things in my power clean. Leaning backwards & looping the bar (maybe a little arm pulling too).
I took some video of them from the hang, when I watched this in slow motion (wasn't able to save it like that though), it appeared everything was OK, the bar even went up in what I thought was a relatively straight line, even around my sizable gut. But then it appears to loop at the top and force my backwards, can you give my some advice as to what's wrong.
See you in CT BTW (no e-stalker).

Do you remember which article or interview where you are discussing the clean and you talk about fat guys leaning back more? Lost my bookmark.
Don't even think about your arms. It's all about jumping.
The Starting Strength DVD will help you see it visually if you continue having reservations about this.
The bar is suposed to loop

That's not a "loop", Zen. That's the racking hook. A loop happens right after the second pull.
