    Grip's a bit wide, toes would work better pointed out more, bar was not in contact with the thighs on 405, the bar was way out in front from the floor up on 465, and was better on 485. On the whole, you need to work on keeping it closer to your legs and thus more over the mid-foot. You're a pretty strong old fucker, I'd say.

    Your deadlift and squat videos make me embarrassed to be 32 years old and as weak as I am.

    I do the same thing with the alternate grip. My knee is in the way of the supine hand (forearm) so I widen my grip. Any way around this?

    Don't widen it.

    During the CF period I would get my shins bleeding pretty good with high rep DL efforts, they were pretty scared up prior to that, so I think I'm unconsciously trying to keep the bar off my shins...guess I need some tube socks.

    Use the 2-liter plastic bottle trick that Mark recommends. I haven't had bloody shins since I started doing this.
