Sir, I don't know how exactly to do rack chins. Whenever I try to do a rack chin, I can't really get a good grip on anything with my feet. Should I try crossing my feet? Would that give me a better grip?

    Hamworld,

You're upside down. Try gripping the bar with your hands. That should help.

I believe it's like a horizontal pull up with your feet propped up on something. Gymnasts can do them without propping their feet up.

Last time I had my chin in a rack, I wasn't thinking too much about my feet.

If you're talking about weighted chin-ups from a rack, either hold a dumbbell behind one of your knees, hang it from a belt, put it in a backpack...let the creativity flow, my friend.

No he's talking about doing chins with your feet being supported so that is angel more like a row. I think.

This is what he was talking about:

Mr. HONEYBADGER mentioned them in another thread as an alternative to negatives/bands/latpulldown/etc if you can't perform one rep yet.

These are called "hanging rows" for the obvious reasons that 1.) chins are already something else, even when done in a rack, and 2.) rows approach the chest at approximately this angle.

I should clarify that the other rack chin video had a vertical torso, like chins. This was a bad example-- sorry.
