    Mark,

    Can you describe a way to lower the press the way you describe raising it, so as to avoid impingement? I have no shoulder problems driving the bar up but when lowering sometimes one of my shoulders catches something. Shrugging on the way up helps to avoid this but what's a similar cue on the way down? I like to breath at the bottom and kind of reset for each rep if that makes a difference.

    Post a video, and specify precisely where in the movement the catch occurs.

    Have you tried doing a sort of reverse jerk? By which I mean dropping our knees down a little bit and bringing the bar down real fast. I do this when I feel like an old man.
