Default Really good Snatch...not so good Clean and Jerk

So after I stopped laughing at the first part of the title (still giggling like an idiot), I was able to critically put fingers to keyboard:

I was watching the Men's 94kg replay at the Olympics. Noticed a bit of a trend: Guys with really good Snatch lifts, but not so good at the Clean and Jerk. Rip, what does it mean if and when that happens? Depends on the lifter?

Ilyin is good at the Snatch, but is AWESOME at the Clean and Jerk.

I saw this trend among quite a few weight classes. No disrespect to the Snatch (heh) but the Clean and Jerk is a little more awesome to watch.

The snatch is lighter. You have to be stronger to clean and jerk the heavier weight. Olympic lifters in other countries have been selected for strength, but they still don't train it any better than we do. Ilyin is very strong.
