Hip pain from deadlifting
Coach,
I am 50 years old intermediate, having gone through SSLP 9 months ago. I have been doing a 5/3/1 twice a week program for the last few months. I decided to test my deadlift max two weeks ago and got it, +10 lbs from my previous attempt. Later in the day, I felt a slight pain in my left hip in the front hip crease. It was gone by the next day. My next squat workout was free of pain. However, last week, I started my next deadlift workout. I only got as far as my first warmup set before feeling the pain again. I stopped the workout. The pain has been with me since. It isn't constant but it is there when I make some slight movementw with my hip. It hasn't been getting better.
I have two questions about this, what breakdown in form would cause this and what is my injury? Thanks coach.
