Shoulder pain after press day
Hi,
I started the program about 3 weeks ago so yesterday I pressed 71 lbs. (I weigh 136 lbs).
Everything was just fine but after a few hours I began to feel some pain in my right shoulder, around the front part of the shoulder. The pain is not constant and I feel it mostly when pronating my shoulder or pushing against something.
Any ideas about what can it be or suggestions of what should I do?
Thanks!

Age/height/pre-existing shoulder injury?
-
Age 20, height 5.8' and I used the have some pain in my left shoulder for a while. This time it's the right shoulder

You are 5'8" at 136. Everything should hurt. Gain about 50 pounds and get back to us.

With all due respect, I know how a regualar after workout muscle pain feels and I can tell there's a difference between that and what I feel now.
Anyway, my question was sincere and I really was expecting to get the same kind of answer.

In all sincerity, you are emaciated, and further, you have not done your homework by reading this board. You lack sufficient muscle mass to adequately stabilize your little joints. As we've observed here hundreds of times, your pains will go away when you gain enough weight.

When your on it..... I've hurt my shoulder and can't press. I can't even take the bar out of the rack now without alot of pain. It's trying to get my elbows underneath the bar, that setup for a good platform to push from were it is killing me. Any ideas Rip ??
I can bench and deadlift no problem. Squat setup isn't comfortable but it wouldn't stop anybody.
I'm up near pr level for them all too so I'm not very worried. Has to be just something small I've tweaked??
Sorry for the hijack. It's not worth starting a thread over though.

Depending on how long it's been hurt, you need a diagnosis. OP needs 50 pounds of bodyweight.
-
Sure does! I'm just under 5' 7" and 190 something.
Couldn't imagine what 136 feels like!
In my fit days I would have been near the 160 mark and that was lean, playing soccer and one of the fittest and fastest on the team.
Anyways... my shoulder pain is going on about a month. First noticed it at forehead height, quite sharp pain when getting near work sets. Tried to work through with higher reps under the weight were it would begin to hurt. Was going well but then one session around 121 the extreme pain came again. Now I can't even take the bar out.
Would you recommend a chiro or doctor to check it out??
Many thanks
