Squat form check
Hi Coaches,
I'm looking for some feedback on my squat, specifically regarding depth (too deep?) and back extension (too much?), but anything else the trained eye can see:
3rd set at 198lb
link
Stats:
40 y.o. novice doing l.p.
215 lb
pr's: squat = 240 lb (110 kg) 3 x 5, dl = 308 lb (140 kg) 1 x 5, bench = 187 lb (85 kg) 3 x 5, press = 123 lb (56 kg) 3 x5, clean = 154 lb (70 kg) 5 x 3.
Thanks in advance.

Given that they were filmed from about 3km away, I don't see anything particularly objectionable here other than, yet again, A FAILURE TO KEEP THE HEAD DOWN. Yes, they are a little deep. Hard to tell on the back. Look: Just stand normally. Lift your chest a little so you're not slouched (IOW: stand normally). Take a deep breath and hold it, and lock everything in that position. It's an ISOMETRIC contraction, so think about "back does not move when I set it." Make EVERYTHING TIGHT. Bend over RIGHT FROM THE START, point your nipples at the floor. Bounce out of the bottom off of tight hamstrings.
You know Tom and Jordan are coming to AUS, don't you? They are nicer than me.
