So I have some mild golfer's elbow that is getting better using Ripp's advice and the idea that eccentric loading seems to work. I'm trying to dot my i's and cross my t's and wondered: does it matter which hand gets mixed up on my mixed grip for deadlift? I don't want to tweak or irritate it and set myself back. If you look at my log you can see I'm not going that heavy right now, but this issue does come up a fair bit since this elbow seems to be prone to it - which suggests that if there's a right answer here, I should set my deadlift options appropriately.

Shouldn't matter. Some folks alternate between the two.

How would deadlift grip aggravate "golfer's elbow?"

    What causes "golfer's elbow?"

    Or you could hook grip.

I had horrible golfer's elbow in my left arm this time last year. I use an alternating grip and a change which hand I supinate each set. While it hurt like hell to grip the bar tight (whether that hand was supinated or pronated made no difference in the pain), my golfer's elbow always felt better for the rest of the day after deads.
