This is good news, nothing beats face time with a good coach but if this is done to the same high standards as the SSCA then it's going to be pretty damn close.

Having used the online coaching services provided via SSC Robert Santana, I can attest to how helpful it is to get quick feedback on form from videoing sets as well as getting programming tweaks as needed.

I'm sure this new service will be a great resource for trainees as well as for spreading the brand of SS. Nothing beats the direct and immediate cues from a coach in the moment (thank you Nick Delgadillo), but getting to a local coach just isn't always feasible.

I'll likely consider online coaching but that little tidbit is music to my ears. The Minneapolis-St Paul area is in desperate need of an SSC. I know Nick makes his way up here as much as he can but it'd be nice to have one on tap.

So honored to be a part of this!

I think you guys and gals are really going to be impressed with the system we've put together. We will provide excellent online coaching from some of the best coaches on the planet (Starting Strength Coaches), exceptional customer service, and a platform for programming, video breakdown, and communication that is clean, simple, and streamlined for both the client and the coach.

    Excited for the launch!

Really great news. Getting online coaching from Matt Reynolds for the last year or so has been incredibly helpful and valuable to me. In-person coaching is of course the gold standard, but I also believe there is benefit to learning how to self-cue in the moment, based on feedback and technique cues from a knowledgeable coach.

This sounds like a great idea. More people should have access to coaching, but on the other hand coaches absolutely deserve to be compensated for their time. I have always been astonished with how much is freely given in both time and knowledge around here... and I've both directly and indirectly benefited from it. My wife and I lift at home, and I studiously tried to apply and coach the two of us in our garage since we live in a SSC black hole (Charleston). I didn't kill either of us, and we tried to comply 100% to the program. Even with technique errors it worked out far better than anything else, but at a certain point we drove 5 hours one way for a 2 hour session with Josh and Shelly up at CCSC (Mac Ward's place) in NC. They immediately corrected the issues with our form (not huge, but absolutely necessary), and were fantastic people to boot. It has been far more of a struggle than having ready access to a SSC gym and coaches. Those of you who do not take advantage of that are making an immense mistake. Hopefully, this will help to further bridge the gap until such a time that people who step up to the challenge and meet the standards fill in the geographical holes so more people have physical access.

Speaking of, I have been considering seeking certification outside of my usual coaching with a caveat of "I'm not certified so I don't charge, and you get what you pay for" with friends, family and coworkers. What's the best way of going about getting a ton of questions answered for the coaching-curious individual? Also, sign me up for that education pipeline.

    starting strength coach development program
I recently visited Westminster Strength & Conditioning for a training session to cover the 5 lifts. Smart move on my part. I received a 3 hour training session from SS coach Eric Shugnite for an incredibly low cost. I got great coaching from Eric, programming advice in the Valhalla of SS type training, Westminster S&C. Half the gym was yelling and encouraging me during my last heavy dead-lift set to finish. Incredible atmosphere. Since there aren't any SS gyms in Charlotte online coaching is probably going to be necessary.
Also, the educational pipeline is a welcoming note. I've been busy busting my ass trying to learn this stuff with some basic direction, but without being a PE/Kinesiology major I don't have a clear road map. Hopefully this will help.
