Doing Crossfit while running a linear progression is not doing the program (NDTP or NDTFP among other acronyms) because 48 to 72 hr. between workouts is necessary for adequate recovery and adaptation. If you insert some WODs in there, you are messing with that process by adding additional stress and effectively lengthening the stress-recovery-adaptation cycle. Being completely sedentary between training sessions is not necessary, but if you insert hard-core conditioning work, your LP is going to stall prematurely. The program is written to maximize overall strength in a short period of time, taking full advantage of the novice effect, being able to increase weight every workout. Following the program sub-optimally will lead to sub-optimal results, although even the sub-optimal results have proven better than anything else out there. At some point, nearly everyone is NDTFP.
Your starting weights were already pretty decent, it is probably going to start feeling really heavy really quickly if you add in Crossfit. However, YMMV.
Best of luck! Look forward to seeing your progress!
