My new old bar

Just bought my first barbell on Craigslist for $25. Appears to be stainless steel shaft, says CHAPMAN POWER.COM on the end caps.

Not finding much about it through Google. I think I found an old post from Rip calling a Chapman bar a "helluva bar", and "legendary".

I'm curious if I may have found a gem or if it's just a piece of junk. Pretty new to barbells, also asked about this in the Garage Gym threads but then found the old Rip post.

Is it straight?

To my eye it looks very straight. One of the sleeves spins well but seems to have kind of a "hitch" to it. Other sleeve seems very smooth. Sleeves are a bit rusted, shaft is clean.

Any straight $25 bar is a deal. A straight $25 Chapman is theft.
