deadlift form check
Mark, I am the one who emailed about having lower back pain all the time and whom you referred to this site.
I spent a long time reviewing videos, diagrams, and reading up on deadlifting and deadlift form since emailing you. I believe I have fixed my form up a bit. I think before, I was squatting the weight up. But I am confused as I see some videos of some with a strong deadlift and their legs go parallel to the floor and they lift in the same way I previously did before this video. I tried to not put my ass so far down to the ground and not have my legs go parallel. Let me know what you think.
Note: If this video does not yet work, it is due to youtube having not approved it yet.

Wow. Low back hurts? Looking at this video, do you see anything that might account for that? Like perhaps a complete failure to maintain lumbar extension? It's not a matter of shoulder position or back angle -- you just can't rely completely on ligament strength to protect your lumbar discs, you actually have to keep your back flat with your back muscles. Or at least try to.
