    Hi all,

I've been following this forum for a while, and this is my first post. I don't even have a question, I just wanted to say thanks to Coach Rip and thanks to everyone involved in making this forum such a useful resource.

I also want to brag on myself, and on Starting Strength, even if my numbers aren't anything special yet.

Cumulatively, I have worked the Starting Strength routine for about two, perhaps two and a half months. I did a half-assed attempt for part of February, and some more half-assing it in April and May. Looking at my logs (www.jakepatrick.wordpress.com), it?s apparent that I didn?t give the program an honest shot until the beginning of June, since when I?ve been consistent and focused.

Here?s what my progress looks like. All weights listed are working set weights, not one rep maxes. I have no idea what my 1RM is for any of these lifts.

    Starting:
    Squat- 185
    Deadlift- 295
    Press- 95
    Bench Press- 165
    Power Clean- 135
    Bodyweight- approximately 195

    Currently:
    Squat- 255
    Deadlift- 340
    Press- 132
    Bench Press- 210
    Power Clean- 160
    Bodyweight- approximately 217

    Total lbs. increase so far:
    Squat- 70
    Deadlift- 45
    Press- 37
    Bench Press- 45
    Power Clean- 25
    Bodyweight- approximately 22

Nice job. Good initial progress, valuable habits learned.
