Calories for Guy New to SS
Hey I am not new to gym but I am new to SS. Reading through the book right now and I'm on the nutrition section. It says to eat closer to 6,000 calories if you're a little skinny guy and closer to 3,500 if you're a big fluffy guy. I feel like I'm somewhere in the middle, leaning towards fluffy, but I would like some help determining how many calories I should be eating starting off. I would think around 3,500 to 4,000 calories would be enough to facilitate the muscle growth I need, but you guys would know more than I would.
I am male, 26 years old, 204 lbs, 20% body fat, and waistline about 40 inches.
I have done barbell training before but this is the first time I will be using the SS method.
5RM are Squat 280, Deadlift 325, Bench 205, OHP 125, Chin-ups 25, never done Power Cleans.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Keep getting your numbers up. You'll fill out nicely with a 400+ 5RM deadlift and bodyweight press.

No doubt about it, so no objections to eating 3500 calories (plenty of milk) to keep facilitating muscle growth, as long as my protein is 1g/lb body weight?

None at all. You just need to get stronger

I will be sure to do so. Thank you very much
