Hi all - not sure if this question belongs here or in the "Managing Injury" forum, but here goes. I am a novice lifter still working through a linear progression. I strained my forearm and so I need to lay off deadlifts and press work for a week or two (hopefully no more). But I can still squat. Should I eat less if I am only squatting (three times per week)? Or eat the same? Thanks!

You are only adding weight to it three times per week too. You'll need to get over your fear of gaining fat.

Thanks - so you say keep eating the same for just the squat, sounds fine. And yep, definitely some hesitancy about weight gain, but on the other hand I really enjoy eating. ^_^

Lift heavy, get plenty of walking in throughout the day, and let the lifts do their job. In a few years you'll notice less fat and more muscle, with much of those changes happening in the next year.
