Question on Stalling (Texas Method)
I've been using the Texas method for a while. The last several weeks I've been only just barely squeezing my bench press sets in. Always expecting to fail on the next set.
I've read both Starting Strength (1st edition) and Practical Programming, but it's been a while, so forgive me if it's discussed there.
So, my questions are:
If I fail, and know this is not due to a recovery issue, on my first or second set of five on Monday's volume workout, what action should I take?
Try to push through the rest of the sets the best I can and reset the weight next volume workout?
Immediately lower the weight for a reset and do five more sets?
Rest and reset on next weeks workout?
Go home and cry?
Something else?
Thanks, Rip.
P.S.
So far the Texas method has worked wonders. Every week I've been getting noticeably stronger. So, thanks for that.

Are you using small increases each week?
