    Hey Mark,

My underwear split on my first work set of squats today. It was awesome. I had to rack the bar and just started laughing, then quickly resumed the set.

Boxer briefs, dude. They're the next best thing to going commando... and for the people exercising next to you; the best thing.

I've done this as well. First rep of my last work set. The sound it made was absolutely awesome. My training partner thought I shit my pants. I did finish the set, although I must say, once the tension from the underpants was gone, it seemed like the set got harder. Thankfully I didn't rip my pants as well, so I finished the workout too.

I think there needs to be a disclaimer published with Starting Strength regaurding how fast you will need to change pant sizes. Had I been better prepared, this (hilarious) accident could have been avoided...

Typing this makes me realize how much I miss novice gains.

First and last time I wore Armani jeans while squatting ended in a similar fashion.

After looking at the squat sticky one day at work I was practicing my squat form in my office and split my dress pants from waist to crotch. It was a long and embarrassing walk home.

Unfortunately, I wasn't filming. If you really want to visualize it, this might help:
