First 50 mile week and first 20 mile run all within 7 days. I've got a lighter week here ahead of me to let my body adjust and heal, but I finished really strong with the 20 miler yesterday. Only 6 weeks until the race, and I'm feeling more prepared for it than ever! Can't wait to get back to the gym today. All my lifts increase again this week!

I was still a bit sore from the run yesterday, but was able to maintain a decent pace for the 4 miler. Squats and cleans (especially) felt good to get heavier.

Rough workout, but was able to finish each 800 in 3:00. Very quick for a 190 pound guy. 5 miles today with squat and bench. Looking forward to it. Inching closer to 200 on the bench, which would be a first for me!

I ended up spraining or pulling my left Achilles at some point during my run on Saturday. As a result, I took yesterday off to heal and it felt amazing. I'm ~6 weeks out now from the marathon. I don't want to overdo anything. Going to make a concerted effort to ice and treat the issue over the coming weeks.
I've got a short run along with lifts later today. Looking forward to it.

Switched it up a bit and tossed some hack squats in there. I felt like my legs received a better overall workout as a result.
I've got hills tonight. Going to be fairly rough.

So a close running friend of mine suggesting taking out a large chunk of the hill work as it may be related to my Achilles issues I've had recently. As a result, I subbed in 800s yesterday and my foot felt fantastic. Going to make a concerted effort on all remaining runs to limit the amount of hills aside from the long runs on the weekend.
I was able to keep the pace throughout all my intervals. Day off today!

Long hiatus in getting ready for my hunting trip. I'm back now though, and need to quickly get on the horse as the race is nearly a month away.

Lifts felt great. I like the addition of the hack squat to the workout.

No lifts on Friday. Going into next week ready to rock. I've got 6 miles to get in today and then 12 on Sunday.
