My lifting program may not "seem" to be going well, it certainly can't be compared to good lifters or
the many outstanding lifters on this forum. I'll be 70 in May. (I hear you laughing Carson)
My granddaughter is 23 months old. Few "people my age" are lifting her. Many my daughter's age
    avoid lifting her.
    Not me.

I just upgraded my minivan to the last of the Gen 4 Sienna's. (read not a hybrid / 2020)
I plan to take my granddaughter places, her family can come if they behave.
Last night I drove 100 minutes shuttling my granddaughter. Many my age don't like
to drive at night. My granddaughter needs to see Yellowstone, which won't make sense for
    several years.

You don't need to search hard to look for a reason to train.
My results are completely out of proportion to my time commitment.

That's a great story Mike! Enjoy that grand baby as they don't stay like that forever. Your family are lucky in that you are a help and not a burden. You are a great example as to why we do what we do. Just keep it up.

I second Fred's comment. I wish we lived close enough to our grandchildren so that I could do more with them. Keep up the good work, my friend. I will be pleased if we can just see each other again in the vail of tears.

I guess we all have different reasons for training or "exercising". My aunt was in a retirement home the last 7 years of her life. The did have them doing a sort of program 3x a week. She made it to 89 and they had a few make it to the high 90s. I will say it was mainly ladies.

Fred J: You are right about that. Gonna need some "speed work" as she's getting all kinds of faster.

Carson: Too kind, as usual, thanks!

BrooklynJerry: My grandmother made it to 102, when I visited it did seem like almost all ladies.
    Thanks for the kind words.

A 90-year-old lady joined the gym this past week. When John Claassen was told of this he simply swept the idea aside. He's 97.

the grandmother of a colleague died yesterday, she was 106. The fact that she was born DURING WW1 blows my mind away
