    BW: 264

    Squat: 250x5 x 3
    Press: 125 x5x3
    DL: 285x5x1

Squats felt great again for my heavy day. All Lifts felt pretty good really.

Still lifting in my basement. Toying around with joining a gym. Reasonably priced and there is a group that competes in some powerlifting meets out of there. It is on my way home. I am kind of spoiled in my basement though. Any thoughts?

5:30 am workout. Not a big fan. Will probably do the same on Thursday though due to work. Bench felt great.

    Squat: 225 x5 x 3 (med)
    Press 130 x5x3
    DL: 290×5x3

Another a.m. workout. Felt good. Squats were medium and they felt medium. They never seem to feel light. Press felt good - big plate next time. Deadlift felt great. As I have mentioned before, I lift in my basement. I only have 300 pounds of weight so I am going to need to get a couple of 45's soon - 2 more DL workouts and I will be out of weight.

Probably need to look into getting a belt. Don't have one currently. Probably a good thing for Christmas.

Felt a little tired today. Performed well, just a little run down. Won't lift again till Monday. Weird holiday schedule is messing with my rest and recovery.

Oops, put a bit more weight on in the last week. Too many beers, cookies and just about everything else. Time to get serious.

Had to take some time off to let a case of peroneal tendinitis heal. 17 days of and it felt like 2 months. Dr. Sullivan mentioned in his new book that older athletes detrain more quickly - he wasn't kidding. I did a pretty light set on squats and my legs feel like jelly.

I know it will come back quickly. I am pretty cognizant of the long view on this lifting.

On the positive side, my weight is coming down.

    Default I'm Back!!

56 years old. Have been back at it for about a year although had a restart in there. Doing HLM this week. Heavy sets were 250 squat, 210 bench and 330 deadlift. 3x5 on squat and bench, 1 x 5 on DL.

Recovery is harder thN it was 8 years ago... probably not surprising.

    Tonight - Light

    BW: 243

    SQ: 225 x 5 x 3
    Press: 120 x 5 x 3

I did end up joining a gym and have enjoyed working out there.

Will definitely continue to work out using HLM. Will try posting here.
