I have the SS book and just started the program and would appreciate form help with my squat. I am 5'9 and 170 lbs and squatting 105 lb in the video here. Kind of looks like my neck is too high like its pinching the bar or something and maybe not looking down enough as Rip says. I am not sure about bar placement, depth, and other things so any feedback will help me correct.

    Thanks

    Adam

The bar is too high, your wrists are bent under the bar, and you are looking up.

Fix those, and your depth will likely get corrected. Rip's got a video on bar placement somewhere, but the key is to put it just below the spine of the scapulae. When you get that fixed, and your wrists straightened out, pick a spot on the floor about 3 or 4 feet ahead, and look at it. Then, squat down as you are, but be sure to shove your hips back. Knees out (which you are doing pretty well), but then Hips Back. At the bottom, drive your hips up, but don't look up.

    Try it. Report back.

Will do Karl thanks for the help and I will work on those things. I didn't even notice the wrists were bent under like that.

Did you even read the book? If so, reread the parts about
    -looking down
    -grip
    -hip drive
    -depth
