    This is a friend at her second squat session.
    I am aware that there are still more technical issues but I d like to just focus you on how far the bar is in front of her toes when she reaches her bottom position (which might still be lacking a few inches for proper depth).

    Trying to make sense of this mechanically, I thought with her anthropometry she just needs to stay more upright with her torso. I made her squat with the free barbell against the outer frame of the smith machine to lock the barbell in place over her midfoot. She could not reach depth without falling back.

    I am a bit clueless now...
    Is this one of those cases in which more weight on the bar will solve the problem by allowing her to get the bar over her midfoot without loosing her balance?
