I think the main problem is the 5 pound jumps. 5lbs on a 50lb load is 10%. You are not going to get that much stronger that quickly between workouts.
I having difficulty progressing on the overhead press. Im a 17 year old male at around 150lbs body weight. I've finally been able to do the beginning 3x5 for my third week ( I've had problems with a previous foot injury) but I'm having issues with the press. 45lbs and 50lbs press of 3x5 wasn't too difficult but I couldn't get all 5-4-4 with 55lbs. The next press day I got 55lbs for 3x5, but two workouts later I could only do 5-4-3 with 65lbs. Is it going to be possible for me to add 5lbs each time for the press? Or do I need to do something else while I keep adding 5lbs for the other lifts? If so what should I do? All of my other lifts are going well but the press isn't.

Step 2: Read this: The First Three Questions
Step 3: Get your technique checked
My guess is that you are doing all three wrong. Specifically step 1. My wife is 5' 8", has never touched any form of resistance training, and weighs 140 lbs. Gain some weight.
How tall are you?
It is likely a technique issue more than anything.
What bench press weight are you working with?
When I was 17 I weighed 135lbs. I feel your pain. Solution: Drink A gallon of milk a day. Start with half a gallon and work your way up from there. Also eat 3-4 large meals a day. If you do this you can probably add 5lbs to the bar for awhile before you have to micro-load. You probably wont listen to any of this. But this is the solution.
