    Hey guys,

    I need some insight. After doing SS for about 7 months my last two weeks of the program were this before I stopped(foolishly stopped of course):

    Monday 2/22/10
    Squat 360 3x5
    Bench Press 182.5 3x5
    Chin-Ups 10,9,8

    Wednesday 2/24/10
    Front Squat 145 3x5
    Press 130 3x5 (4,4,4)
    Powerclean 195 5x3

    Friday 2/26/10
    Squat 365 3x5 (4,4,3)
    Bench Press 185 3x5
    Deadlift 365 1x5

    Monday 3/1/10
    Squat 365 3x5 (5,4,4)
    Press 130 3x5 (5,4,4)
    Powerclean 205 5x3 (Form degrading)

    Wednesday 3/3/10
    Front Squat 155 3x5
    Bench Press 187.5 3x5
    Pull-Ups 6,3,3

    Friday 3/5/10
    Squat 365 3x5 (5,3,3)
    Press 130 3x5 (5,3,3)
    Powerclean 185 5x3

    Height 6'0
    Weight 200lb (220lb goal for now)

    I decided I wanted to try some Westside training and did that for a month. It wasn't really my thing and now I want to get back to SS. I know I can still make some gains using the novice progression, but what weights should I come back in to start again? I was thinking of coming in conservatively and get some good rhythm back. Perhaps doing regular SS for a period to get my numbers up and then switch over to Advanced Novice before preceding to intermediate programming, any thoughts?

    A month is not enough time to see if something is working or not but I agree that a split routine is not necessary at this point. Regular SS would work fine. Remember to wait until you're strong enough to need the extra time between workouts for recovery. People go intermediate too soon and it fucks them. Ride day to day linear progression as long as you can. 70-80% what you left off at should manage. good luck.

    You know what I like about your numbers? You're not fucking greedy! The further off and wider your perspective is on this the better off you are, and the farther you'll go. Again, good luck.
