Anytime you hear shit like this, it should immediately make you suspect of the intelligence of the person who told you. The docs probably, hopefully didn't say that. Because that's insane.
A buddy of mine bought SS:BBT3 and is starting to work out with me. We were talking about me almost puking during squats the other day, and the section in the book on the Valsalva and stroke. Well, he works in an emergency department and some of the docs (you can probably see where this is headed) said that all that Valsalva-maneuvering and high intra-abdominal pressures lead to an increased risk of colon and intestinal cancer and 'other abdominal problems.'
I think it must be hogwash. Have you or any of the other experts here heard anything to this effect?

All the milk gave me some mild abdominal problems.
But that's really less my problem and more the problem of everyone else in the elevator at the time.
Colon and bowel cancer can be arrested by having a regular screening, especially if you are over 50, if you are at risk, mainly from family history and lifestyle factors of which I am unqualified to talk about you can get a colonostrophy or at least an occult blood stool test. OK?
We recently got a bunch of new plates at our gym at work. Every one of them has the California warning sticker ("This product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects"), probably due to the paint.
It was enough to scare off some of the bros at the gym.
Maybe bros will care. Frees up the equipment.
A Physical Therapist I had to consult once mentioned that strong/large abdominal muscles are unhealthy since they would squeeze internal organs. On a different occasion I overheard the same guy claiming that his body fat percentage went down by 2% in as many weeks ever since he started consuming green gram sprouts.
Apparently, he as a masters degree. So....
