    Hello,
6 weeks into starting strength and was finally able to get some videos of my squat and deadlifts up. Was hoping for some feedback as the weights are getting heavier and I want to make sure that I have proper form. Is my deadlift as bad as i think it looks?

    Squat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVjv...ature=youtu.be [1]
    Deadlift:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlXD...ature=youtu.be [2]
    much appreciated!

(I just ordered lifting shoes so pls ignore the runners in the video)

    Hey MK,

These squats don't look injurious, but they also don't look like you are aiming for the SS model. They look more like muscle magazine squats.
Let's see you: 1. Tuck your chin down a bit and lower your gaze point, 2. Get down a little deeper, 3. Drive your hips up out of the bottom and 4. Straighten out those bent wrists.

DL: Face away from the mirror. You want to pick a fixed gaze point and mirrors can obstruct that ability. You're setting up a little too far from the bar, not at mid foot, which is affecting the rest of your setup. You also need to work on learning what it feels like to have your back in extension. It's okay. Keep working on these two main things and the rest will clean up. Post again when you've tried to make these changes.
