Also, can you make sure you cover the windows in the door behind you when you take any future videos? And try cleaning the lens.

Thanks for this Spar, I will study it and give it a try over the next few training sessions and will update in a few days. I guess with the chest thing I try to keep it up so that I dont end up doing a good morning style ascent, will keep practicing. Cover window and lens clean noted!

I think chest out is not a good cue for you, since you overdo it. Maybe think elbows and shoulder blades tight instead?

    Default todays video

Hi Guys, I have posted todays video and tried to work on the points you mentioned Spar. Does feel a bit odd and back aches a bit tonight but going to keep at it, will be away for next few days but will get some more vids up next week.

I think I am overextending the upper back due to tight shoulders, I have only recently lossened them up enough to grip the bar with straight wrists so when I grab the bar I seem to have to stick my chest out to get my wrist in the correct position. I will have a go with the elbows and shoulder blades back cue next time.

    Cheers

The upper back looks better to me now, and I notice more driving through the hip, but it looks like you're not staying tight when you get near/into the hole. This may be contributing to your back pain.

I don't suppose there's anyway to move the camera further away and up a little? No offense, and I do see that it looks like you're working in tight quarters, but your videos are really crappy and makes it hard to see what's going on.

Agreed re the video , I will see if I can get my wife to film through the window on the other side it may give a bit more room. A few days away now so will check back with a video next week. cheers

For lighting, next time block the window directly in front of you instead of the one to your left.

Hi Guys I have had a busy week so just got the chance to get my wife to video me,hopefully it is a little better. I noticed I wasn't going as low as normal I think this is just due to me thinking about all the other things I have to put right. I have been trying to look down keep back as neutral as possible and stay tight at the bottom. Comments welcomed!!
